Every body is beautiful, don't hide yourself

Every body is beautiful, don't hide yourself

Too thick, too thin, too wrinkled, not perfect. Those who hear that again and again suffer from it. But let's get one thing straight away: Every body is beautiful!

The STADA Health Report 2019 shows: Every second German admits being jealous of a person's beach body. In Germany, younger people between 18 and 34 years and women compare themselves particularly frequently with people in their environment (71 and 60 percent), while men are much more relaxed with 43 percent. In a European comparison, the Serbs (68 percent), the Frenchs (64 percent) and the Italians (60 percent) are less impressed by the body comparison.

Make yourself clear: We don't see reality in the media

Posters, magazines, Instagram photos: Young, slim, well-trained, perfectly looking women smile at us everywhere. What we should always keep in mind: To make these women look like that, tricks are used. Not only the face is covered with make-up, but also the décolleté and legs. The poses that are taken are exactly those that - seen from the right perspective - cheat away a few grams of fat. And in the end, the image processing will take care of it if the legs are still a little too stocky or if the cellulite shows up. Yes, even slim women can have unattractive skin dents on their stomach, legs and back. What the advertising photos are trying to fool us into believing does not correspond to reality. It becomes even more absurd when we look at how small the number of women is that even halfway corresponds to the general ideal of beauty. Almost all people deviate from it in some way, and that is not a flaw, but completely normal.

Throughout your life, you may have often had to put up with insults to your body and endure disparaging glances. If so, then it has probably gnawed at your self-esteem. Maybe at some point you started to believe what people were trying to talk you into. The good news is that you can counter these experiences with new ones by allowing yourself to like your body. Love yourself no matter what others think. And tell yourself that again and again. In the beginning it will probably be difficult for you, after all you have internalized many other signals. But if you don't let up, it will be easier and easier for you to treat yourself lovingly and to find yourself beautiful.

Don't hide

Those who find themselves too fat, too small or otherwise imperfect tend to hide these supposed flaws. This usually doesn't work, it just restricts your freedom. Or have you ever thought a woman in wide robes to be less fat? Exactly because of that, act as you want without hiding. Wear a bikini or swimsuit with the same naturalness as jeans and a T-shirt.
